Anti-Wrinkle Injections (also known as Muscle Relaxants) are a type of toxin (a naturally occurring protein extract). When used in small amounts for cosmetic treatment, Anti-Wrinkle Injections assist by softening the muscle movements responsible for wrinkles & lines.

Q: How long until you see results?
A: You should see the result of anti-wrinkle treatment in just 2-3 days and full effect at day 14.
Q: Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections hurt?
A: You may experience a sting throughout the treatment. We do try our best to keep treatment as pain free as possible.
Q: Is there any downtime?
A: There may potentially be some slight redness, swelling and bruising in the treated area. If this occurs it can be covered with make-up and will generally resolve in 7-10 days.
Q: Who is conducting the treatment?
A: Patients will receive a full facial consultation with our Registered Nurse Cath McCahon who has over 12 years of experience and knowledge in the aesthetic arena. The treatment will be prescribed by Dr Dan Kennedy after he has assessed your suitability for treatment.
Q: What is the post treatment care?
A: COOL

  • Apply cool compress for 10 minutes of every hour on the day of treatment
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • Do not expose the area to intense heat

CALM

  • Avoid pressure on treated areas for the 24-48 hours
  • You may experience a mild headache. Pain relief such as paracetamol may be taken

CLEAR

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Do not use AHA, Vit C therapy or oil based make-up for 24 hours.
  • Avoid facials, facial waxing, Glycolic or AHA peels, IPL, or energy based treatment.
  • Do not massage the treated area unless instructed otherwise.
